Mary Lou Hardisty has been teaching in Hawaii public schools for over 25 years. She has witnessed a steady decline in how students today view themselves and interact with their peers. She sees the need for an etiquette training program to help restore those "back to basic" social skills in our youth as well as adults.
Mary Lou is a physical education major, wardrobe color consultant, and a master makeup artist specializing in film, stage, TV and runway. Her experience as a children's dance instructor and music director will offer the poise, confidence and enrichment our students need. She is ready to give our students the necessary building blocks for a solid future by teaching these essential life skills in an entertaining and interactive environment at Aloha Charm School. |
Malia Gurney brings years of experience instructing basic etiquette and modeling to Aloha Charm School. Her interest in teaching and helping students to enhance their skills in basic etiquette and fashion led to the opening of Aloha Charm School in 2011. Malia is native to Hawaii and spent most of her life here and traveling the world in the fashion industry as a model, actress, and teacher in the industry. In 1989, she helped coach pageant contestants in Guam. The love of teaching and coaching students has always been Malia's passion in life. She brings her career experiences in the industry into a comprehensive and fun learning experience for those who attend Aloha Charm School.
